A Work In Progress

DTI-MH-24 (1).JPG

How did I get here?

Is a question that would often linger in my mind.

Spent too much time focusing on the wrongs, couldn’t see any rights.

Wasted many days thinking about my wrongs

How ‘bout I start viewing things that are going right.

Tomorrow is not promised; there is no more time to waste

I give myself permission to let go of things that no longer serve a purpose.

Letting go of who I am for who I am becoming

Breaking old habits and getting out of my way.

I am a work in progress cant you see.

Let me move towards love, light, healing, and peace

Focus on what feels right, even if it seems absurd

Bring me closer to the light.

Let me show you what a work in progress really looks like.

A new thing is finally happening

My delay will be used for your purpose.

The fruit is now blossoming from the seeds you planted years ago.

Take away everything that keeps my fruit from blossoming

Cut off all dead ends that keep me from growing

Put my fears behind me so I can walk freely towards my elevation

I am a work in progress cant you see.

Automatic negative thoughts will no longer exist

The lies that my internal thoughts tell me are no longer my truths

Continue to fill me up with your truths

Keep me close to the light

What is in front of me is so much better than what is behind me.

Why do you think I keep fighting to get to my promise land?

Where my blessings will be multiplied

And everything that I lost will be restored

Tomorrow is not promised

So today I must give it my all

 Let’s create some new habits;

Take me from a thinker to a doer

shift worry into focus

Difficulties into determination

Overwhelmed into overjoyed

This journey has allowed me to fall, get back up, then fall again, get back up, then fall again

This is called growing, learning, releasing, and becoming

Let me show you what a work in progress really looks like.
